Abstract

111,223. Evans, J. L. March 24, 1917. Corves; doors, wagon.-In order to allow the end door 4 of a colliery train or corve to hinge about either side or to be readily removed, each side hinge comprises a movable hinge-pin 1, which is adapted to enter sockets 3, 5 on the door and the end of the train respectively and has projecting studs 2 passing through inclined slots in the sockets 3 so that, by rotating the hinge-pin, it is given an endlong movement which releases it from engagement with the sockets 5. A. cress-strap 6 prevents any accidental rising of the door during its normal travel. Specifications 7445/86, 14522/00, 4953/03, 18998/11, and 9158/12 are referred to.
