Abstract

1,109,979. Fountains. E. TURKOWSKI. May 12, 1966, No.21135/66. Heading F1X. A fountain includes an upwardly extending translucent recess 6 in a liquid container 3, a rotatable colour disc 11 and a transparent protective shield 17 within the recess, and an electric driving motor 15 and lighting means 18 both situated below the shield. Liquid is drawn into pump 9 through suction valve 10 and is ejected through nozzle tube 8. Falling water is directed through holes in leaves 19 back into trough 5. Disc 11 which has coloured segments is rotated by electric motor 15 through gearing 13, 14. The floor of trough 5 may be laid in mosaic. Loudspeakers may be mounted between support 2 and container 3.
