Abstract
1,109,504. Cine apparatus. GENERAL PRECISION SYSTEMS Ltd. April 6, 1965 [May 6, 1964], No.18860/64. Heading G2E. A cine camera or projector, in which the film is driven at varying frequencies, has a zoom lens 4 whose magnification is cyclically varied in phase with the framing frequency, so that, at the lower frequencies flicker is avoided. The iris aperture setting may also be cyclically varied to provide constant illumination. A continuous film feed with rotating prism optical compensation is possible. The zoom control mechanism is operated by cam 9 driven, with the feed and shutter mechanism, by motor 6 whose speed is variable by lever 8 in the cabin of the locomotive driver training device, for example, in which a picture is projected on to screen 3. Television viewing of the cine film is mentioned.
