Abstract

1,107,350. Feeding webs. SCHWEIZERI. SCHE INDUSTRIE-GESELLSCHAFT. 20 Feb., 1967 [18 Feb., 1966], No. 7921/67. Head. ing B6B. [Also in Division B4] In a device for severing lengths from a roll of sheet material comprising blades 6, 7 arranged on rollers 4, 5 eccentrically mounted on journals 8, 9, a pair of gripping tongs 24 is periodically insertable between the rollers 4, 5 for withdrawing the material 1 to be severed from the roll. The rollers 4, 5 are in driving engagement via gear wheels 10, 11. A sprocket wheel 12 is eccentrically secured to the journal 8 and has trained thereabout a chain 15 which passes around a sprocket wheel 14 secured to a drive shaft 13 and round a tensioning device 16. Arranged on the shaft 13 is a crank arm 20 which, via a rod 21, imparts a periodic pivoting movement to an arm 22 which is connected, via a rod 23, to the tongs 24 movable in a a guide 25.
