Abstract

In order that a mole plough may form a drain parallel to a beam of radiation energy there is provided on the plough a radiation responsive receiver having a signal output to the degree of misalignment of the receiver with the beam. The output is utilized to operate appropriate controls of the mole plough to re-align the receiver with the beam as adjustment of the plough is made to ensure maintenance of the desired line of the drain.
