1,107,258. Boring earth &c. G. A. PETERSEN. 16 July, 1965 [17 July, 1964], No. 30288/ 65. Heading E1F. An auger has a group of leading teeth 23a, 23b, 23c, 23d which are below a group of following teeth 36a, 36b, 36c, 36d, the leading teeth cutting concentric ridges which are removed by the following teeth. The following teeth are according to Specification 875235, the leading teeth are according to Specification 971589 or Specification 875235, and a pilot bit 13 is according to Specification 751550. The teeth are fixed in holders 19, 21 secured to extensions 17, 18 of flights 14, 16 which carry pivoted earth retaining flaps 61.
