Abstract
1,106,913. Automatic frequency control systems. MARCOM CO. Ltd. 16 Nov., 1966 [12 Jan., 1966], No. 1453/66. Heading H3A. A receiver for receiving pulsed frequencymodulated signals, e.g. for frequency shift communication, comprises a discriminator 6 the output of which is fed directly or through a filter 7 to a peak detector 9 which produces signals proportional to the peak frequency deviation in either direction; these signals are fed to a difference amplifying control signal unit 10 the output of which controls the frequency of the local oscillator 4. This system produces the correct intermediate frequency even if signals of one kind (e.g. marks or spaces) predominate in the input, and is also applicable to receivers for frequency-modulated television systems.
