Abstract
110,653. Flannery, J. M. Dec. 14, 1916. Drawings to Specification Separators are coated with a material containing a radio-active substance such as salt of radium; the electrolyte is thus ionized and its resistance reduced. The separators, which may be perforated, may be made of celluloid, glass, mica, pottery, rubber, wood, cork, silica, enamelled metal or other material, and the radioactive compound may be incorporated in celluloid or other material capable of being applied as a coating to the separators or the separators may be coated by immersion in the material containing the radio-active substance. In a modification, the radio-active substance may be applied to envelopes enclosing the electrodes. Specification 110,652 is referred to.
