Abstract

110,064. McCulloch, W. Dec. 18, 1916. Stoppers, washing.-A feed hopper for a bottlestopper washing-machine such as described in Specification 13496/15 is provided with hinged plates 5 oscilla.ted by geared elliptical feed-rollers 3 arranged in quadrature to each other, one of the rollers being mounted in yielding and adjustable bearings. As shown, the bearing-blocks 7, Fig. 3, of one of the rollers are slidable in guides 8 secured to the sides of the hopper, and carry adjusting-screws 9 which pass through end plates 10 and are engaged by nuts or hand-wheels 11. A spring 12 is arranged between each end plate 10 and bearing block 7. According to the Provisional Specification, each bearing-block is formed in two parts one of which carries the adjusting screw, the other being provided with two horizontal arms carrying an end plate through which the adjusting-screw is threaded.
