[Also in Division B3] A double-walled cylinder for an ion atomizer pump is made in one piece from a blank, Fig. 1 (not shown), of, for example, chrome-nickel steel by first drawing a flanged inner cylinder, Fig. 2 (not shown) and then stretching the inner cylinder by impact extrusion, Fig. 3 (not shown), drawing an outer cylinder from the flanged portion, Fig. 4 (not shown), and finally, stretching the outer cylinder by impact extrusion. If desired, the bottom of the inner cylinder may be apertured.
