Abstract
1,100,102. Fuel cells. FUJI DENKISEIZO KABUSHIKI KAISHA and NIPPON JUNSUISO KABUSHIKI KAISHA. 14 April, 1965 [25 April, 1964], No. 16055/65. Heading H1B. A hydrogen diffusion membrane electrode for a fuel cell is made from the alloys disclosed in Specification 964,532, the alloy containing at least 60% of palladium. In a fuel cell described, the hydrogen permeable membrane electrode comprises a hollow cylinder surrounded by and in contact with a tubular semi-solid electrolyte member made of magnesium oxide and a molten mixture of alkali carbonates. The oxygen electrode comprises a silver gauze wound around the electrolyte member.
