[Also in Division F4] Apparatus for drying cylindrical non-conductve objects 12 comprises H.F. electrodes 3, 5 mounted in a metal housing 6, between which electrodes the objects are conveyed by vertical rods 11 mounted on endless conveyer chains 1, the rods carrying loops 10 of flexible, electrical insulating material, e.g. textile strips, to suspend each object along a horizontal axis and to surround and engage it over at least 1/8 of its periphery. The electrodes may be subdivided and intermediate electrodes at a potential nearer to that of earth may be inserted in the drying zones.
