A packaging container for flowers comprises two thin moulded shells 1 secured together along peripheral flanges lm formed with handle portions In. The shells are nestable, and incorporate reinforcement grooves, ridges 1o &c. In Fig. 2 (not shown), the body of a container for a potted plant is similar to that of Fig. 1a, but has a flat bottom and cylindrical mid-section. The two shells may be hinged together. The package may be held closed by rubber bands. The flanges may be sealed together by adhesive, be secured by staples, or adhesive tape, or they may interfit or make sliding engagement, Figs. 3a-3d (not shown). The container may have a protective, or insulating, lining.
