Abstract

1,095,515. Engine cooling; axial flow fans. SOCIETE D'ETUDES ET D'APPLICATIONS INDUSTRIELLES COMMERCIALES ET IMMOBILIERES "INTER TECHNIQUE". June 8, 1965 [June 15, 1964], No. 24236/65. Addition to 831,708. Headings F1B and F1C. The water pump and fan drive of the main Specification is modified by forming the body 36 of the driving part of the electromagnetic clutch 37, 53, in one with a hub 20 keyed to the shaft 6, the driving pulley being formed by two metal cheeks 21, 22, secured to the body 36. The cheeks 21, 22, may be riveted directly to the member 36 or, as shown in Fig. 1, 22 they may be riveted to the slip ring 27, a flange 25 on the cheek 22 being welded to the body 36. The fan has a hub 24 of plastic material reinforced by a metal strip 28 the blades being either integral with the hub or attached thereto.
