Abstract

1,095,347. Fluid-pressure servomotor systems. KAWASAKI JYUKOGYO KABUSHIKI KAISHA. March 26, 1965 [March 27, 1964], No. 12920/65. Heading G3P. A device for transforming a linear displacement into a corresponding angular displacement or vice-versa with amplification of the input force or torque comprises a piston n integral with a shaft I and defining chambers j, k which communicate, via longitudinal passages in the shaft, with orifices b, c in the shaft. The chambers receive pressurized fluid via ports g, f and the escape of the fluid through the orifices is controlled by opposite surfaces of a helical shroud carried by a rotatable shaft e. In the modification of Fig. 1 (not shown), the piston is replaced by a rotary vane and the shaft e is displaceable axially.
