Abstract

1,093,194. Material discharging into vehicles. MURFITT BULK TRANSPORTERS Ltd. Jan. 29, 1965 [Jan. 30, 1964], No. 3980/64. Addition to 1,059,328. Heading B8E. The mechanism for traversing the bulkhead of the parent specification is replaced by two winch drums which with their driving mechanism are mounted on the bulkhead with the axis of rotation of the drums being transverse to the direction of movement of the bulkhead and are provided with cables extending to, and secured to the ends of the container. The drums are each provided with two pairs of cables differently wound thereon one of each pair extending to the four corners of the container respectively. The cables are adjustably secured to the ends so that their tensions can be adjusted. The upper guide rollers of the bulkhead engage the container near the top corners rather than the sides thereof.
