Abstract

Curable coating compositions comprise an epoxy ether resin of 1,2-epoxy equivalence greater than 1 and a stearine fatty acid pitch. The compositions may also contain fillers, curing agents, e.g. polyamides for epoxy resins and solvents.ALSO:Surfaces, may be coated with compositions comprising an epoxy ether resin and a stearine fatty acid pitch (see Division C3R) by brushing, rolling or spraying. Surfaces specified are of concrete; metal, e.g. steel; wood; asphalt or coal-tar. Specified articles which may be coated are pipe lines, boats and the insides of settling and digestion tanks for sewage treatment.
