A milling tool comprises an arbor M, Fig. 5, carrying a milling cutter F, the axes of the arbor and cutter meeting in the plane of the cutting- edges. The blades of the cutter take cuts as shown in Fig. 3. Instead of an inclined spigot M<SP>1</SP>, an inclined bush 4, Fig. 4, may be located on a conventional spigot M<SP>1</SP>. Extra recesses have to be provided on the milling-cutter to receive the relatively-inclined driving dogs 5. In a further modification, the cutter 8, Fig. 10, is non-symmetrical.
