Abstract

1,090,678. Photographic processing apparatus. ITEK CORPORATION. June 21, 1965 [June 19, 1964; April 23, 1965], No. 26179/65. Heading G2A. In a self-threading processing apparatus, heated developer-fixer is applied, by head 200, to moving film 20, through turbulent-flow inducing slits in plates 212, 214. Squeegee rollers 44, 44' of synthetic rubber and wiper blade 47 prevent any liquid from being carried along the horizontal rectilinear feed path into adjacent chambers. The liquid collected by pipe 38 is re-circulated to header 36. A washing station, of identical construction, is provided at 106. Drying is effected, by a laminar flow of warm air through a polytetrafluoroethylene lined channel, having air entry slots 122a, b and feed rollers 44b, 44'b.
