Abstract

1,089,627. Food packages. MICROTHERM Ltd. June 12, 1964, No. 47443/65. Divided out of 1,034,683. Heading B8C. Hot dogs &c. to be heated by microwave radiation, are wrapped in a tube of electrically insulating material, e.g. plastics film, and formed symmetrical about a longitudinal axis, to ensure uniform heating on rotation. Alternatively, the hot dog may be placed first in a resilient tube, e.g. of card material, which may have end caps, and then wrapped in a plastics film. The cylindrical bread roll may be formed in two portions, forming a sausage receiving cavity between them, or alternatively the bread may be baked in moulds to form a hollow tube. Heat may be applied by apparatus, Figs. 1, 2 (not shown), as described in the parent Specification.
