A screw conveyer is formed with its flight 2 made of nylon bristle or metal wire which engages and is supported by the casing 7, the conveyer length being formed of sections screwed together. The flight is made in the embodiment by inserting nylon bristles between two rods which are twisted to form shaft 3 then one flight is cut off and fused to form the conveyer shown.
