Abstract

Polyepoxides are hardened with basic hardeners containing reactive amine-hydrogen atoms in the presence of an amide of a carboxylic acid having an electronegative substituent on the a or b carbon atom or with an amine containing no amide groups in the presence of an amidoamine of a carboxylic acid having an electronegative substituent on the a or b carbon atom, which electronegative substituent is a halogen atom or a -OH, -OMe, -Sh, -CN, -CHO, -CO2H, vinyl or phenyl group.
