Abstract
1,085,355. Rubber springs. CONTINENTAL GUMMI-WERKE A.G. June 16, 1965 [July 3, 1964], No. 25430/65. Heading F2S. A rubber, or the like, spring comprises a body 1 of substantially bi-conical form with a constricted central portion 8 each conical portion being hollow with end faces which are closed by rigid apertured plates (3), Fig. 1 (not shown), made e.g. of metal or plastics the walls of the body 1 being substantially of constant thickness. As shown the plates (3) are replaced by cup-shaped members 3 with cylindrical side walls 4. The latter, which have out-turned lips 5, may be outwardly inclined. The internal surfaces 15 may be rounded and the constriction 8 with the latter may be displaced upwardly or downwardly through about one fifth of the overall height of the body 1 which, in all of the embodiments, may be glued to the end plates or cupshaped members. A cup-shaped member, Fig. 2 (not shown), has a separate side wall (4).
