Abstract

108,503. Hinchley, J. W. Aug. 3, 1916. Platen-presses. - The apparatus for expressing liquids from peat &c. described in Specification 101,782 is provided with means for pumping liquid down the grooves 51 or other channels at the back of the strainers 52 which are not used for the admission of gaseous fluid. By this means, obstruction of the grooves and the strainers is prevented. A perforated liner 53 is provided as described in Specification 110,384.
