[Also in Division G1] In a transductor sensing device for measuring a direct current in a bus-bar 1c and indicating the polarity of the measured current, the voltages appearing across the gate windings 1d, 1e of a measuring transductor 1 are connected through rectifier bridges 4, 5 to a summing transformer 6, the output of which passes through a pulse squaring amplifier 7 to a phase discriminator 2. The phase discriminator also receives an input from an instrument current transformer 3 connected in series with the gate windings and an A.C. source of 50 c/s.
