Abstract
1,084,382. Automatic exchange systems. ERICSSON TELEPHONES Ltd. April 6, 1966 [April 7, 1965], No. 14767/65. Heading H4K. A pulse repeater, for repeating and correcting pulses which have been distorted through transmission along long lines, comprises a first line relay A having two aiding windings, connected respectively in series with the two wires of an incoming line l, and a third opposing winding connected in series with a contact R1 of a pulse repeating relay R. When loop current flows, A comes up followed by R whereby the outgoing loop 2 is closed and an opposing field, which is insufficient to have any effect as yet, is produced in relay A. When the loop l is broken, A falls back quickly due to the opposing field and is followed by R. The capacitor C tends to maintain A released since it is charged via A's third winding whenever contact R1 is open. Diodes D2 and D3 serve to suppress transients on the line.
