Abstract

1,083,015. Hot tops. FOSECO TRADING A.G. June 28, 1966 [July 23, 1965], No. 31557/65. Heading B3F. A hot-top 1 of an ingot mould 2 is retained in position during a casting operation by a box 4 which is releasably fastened, by a hooked bar 10 frictionally engaging within an aperture 9 in a locking arm 7, to a flange or castellation of the mould 2. In a modification (Fig. 2, not shown) the hooked bar (14) is tightened on to the mould by wedges (15), (16) acting in a slot in said bar.
