Abstract
The invention comprises O-methyl-O ethyl-d -(2 - ethyl sulphinyl ethyl) - dithiophosphate. It is obtained by the action of hydrogen peroxide or bromine and water or O-methyl-O-ethyl - d - (2 - ethyl mercaptoethyl) - dithiophosphate.ALSO:An insecticidal composition comprises as the active ingredient o-methyl-o-ethyl-s-(2-ethylsulphinylethyl)-dithiophosphate. It may be applied as an emulsion, alone or in the presence of other known compounds such as o,o-dimethyl-and o,o-diethyl-[-s-(2 ethyl sulphniyl ethyl)-and -s-(2-ethylmercaptoethyl)]-dithiophosphates.
