108,156. Ridgway, J. W. July 17, 1916, [Convention date]. Crank-shafts.-Arms of multiple crank-shafts for motor-vehicles &c, having crank-pins projecting at the two ends in opposite directions, have weights attached on the sides remote from the pins to balance the shafts. In the form shown, rings 46, the ends of which are in different planes, are bolted to the arms 26 having pins 28. In modifications, the rings 46 are replaced by rings in one plane set obliquely, or by weights opposite each pin connected by oblique rods.
