Abstract

1,080,587. Vehicle bodies. HUMBER Ltd. July 19, 1966 [July 20, 1965], No. 30868/65. Heading B7B. A body panel 14 which carries a lamp is pivoted to the body at 15 and is provided with an extension 16 to which is secured the casing 18 of a pneumatic actuator 17, the flexible diaphragm 19 of which is connected by a rod 21 to a pivot 22 on the body. The spring 23 normally retains the panel in the closed position but communication of the interior of the actuator with engine depression retracts the diaphragm and rod 21 within the casing 18, as shown in the dotted position.
