Abstract

1,080,417. Cleaning intestines. KONTROLLHUDAR ANDELSSLAKTERIERNAS FOREN U.P.A. July 12, 1965 [Jan. 29, 1965]. No. 29487/65. Heading A2U. In separating fat and blood vessels, i.e. the mesentery, from an intestine and thus cleaning it, the intestine 1 is pulled, by a pulling device 4, from viscera deposited on a viscera-receiving device 3, past a cutting device 5, comprising two oppositely reciprocating blades 10 having saw-toothed cutting edges, and then past a deflecting blade 11, having a guide 12 at each side and, preferably, a sliding shoe 13. The cleaned intestine is delivered to a collecting station (not shown). The device 3 may be tiltably mounted on a table 2, and may be provided with a guide rail 6 extending to the cutting device 5. The pulling device 4 may be mounted on an arm 9 pivoted to the table 2, and may comprise a wheel 8 rotated by an electric motor 7. The cutting device 5 may be mounted on a stand. Alternatively, the cutting device may be a hand-tool.
