Abstract
107,952. Peterson, J. April 26, 1917. Self-driving machines.-Flour annuli or " hubless wheels " disposed between supporting wheels 6 gear by external teeth with one another and with a central wheel 4, and by internal teeth with pinions on shafts 10 which are carried by arms 11 pivoted on a ring 13. A large central annulus overlapping the others embraces the hanging shafts and gears by internal teeth with other pinions on these shafts. It is stated that the downward movement of the hand-lever 18 slightly ;otates the ring 13 which draws the pinions tightly against the internal teeth and the movement of the pinions will cause rotation of the "hubless" gears. The ring is connected by links 14 to T-levers 15 on pivots 21, and these are interconnected by a bell-crank lever 17 and links 16. The central wheel and annulus are in gear with a shaft 23, the former through an idle wheel.
