Abstract

1,078,600. A communal wash basin. R. R. VOISIN. April 1, 1966 [April 1, 1965], No. 14544/66. Heading A4N. A communal wash basin assembly having a plurality of open ended trough shaped basin elements (1) arranged between side walls (3) disposed at the open ends of the trough elements, the assembly being held together by tie rods (12) extending between the side walls. Between the upper ends of adjacent side walls, a section (5) in the shape of a flattened M is provided which serves as a soap carrier and also serves to carry a water pipe (13). The basin is supported by tubular posts (7) which are united at the base by U-shaped cross-pieces (8) which in turn are connected by longitudinal bars (9). The assembly may be accessible on both sides as shown in the figure or may be freed against a wall. In a modification the supporting posts could be replaced by consoles embedded in the wall.
