Abstract

A lubricant comprises a major amount of an ester base oil and minor amounts each of diphenylamine and a dipyridylamine. The ester base oil may be derived from a mono- and/or poly-hydric alcohol and a mono- and/or polycarboxylic acid (many esters being specified). The composition may also contain an amine salt of monochloromethyl phosphonic acid, copper dibutyldithiocarbamate and silicone oils.
