Abstract

1,074,608. Analogue-to-digital converters. LICENTIA PATENT - VERWALTUNGS - G.m.b.H. March 1, 1966, No. 8934/66. Heading G4H. Quantities in decimal notation are converted to a binary notation by a rotary switch in which the moving contact moves over fixed contacts arranged on a circular path in a succession of groups, the moving contact being adapted to engage and energize all the contacts of a group. The groups are connected to appropriate output terminals (A-D, Fig. 1, not shown) having values 1, 2, 4, 2. The selector contact (1) could alternatively be fixed and the contacts mounted on a rotatable drum.
