Abstract

Compounds of the formula <FORM:1073961/C2/1> are prepared by reacting a pyridinemethylamine with salicylic acid. Pyridine - 3 - methylamine is prepared by reducing 3-pyridylnitrile. Pharmaceutical compositions suitable for treating rheumatalgia comprise the amides of the invention and a carrier therefor. The compositions may be in the form of a spray solution for local application.
