Abstract

1,073,104. Moulded luggage. JAY, FELD & CO. Ltd. Jan. 20, 1966, No. 2613/66. Heading B8P. A luggage case comprises a lid 2, a body (1), Fig. 5 (not shown), and a partition 3 located between the lid and body, the three parts being hinged together and the partition comprising a planar member (3a) having a peripheral channel 13, (14) on each surface. Struts 17, 18 moulded integrally with the partition 3 provide sufficient strength to allow the hinges (7), locks 5, 6 and a handle 10 to be mounted on the partition. Each of the three portions of the case is preferably injection moulded from a thermoplastic material such as polypropylene. The peripheral channels 13, (14) provide seatings for the lid and body and a pair of feet 23 allow the case to stand upright.
