Abstract

1,072,849. Throttles. GURTNER S.A. Dec.18, 1963 [Jan. 25, 1963], No.49981/63. Heading F1B. In a carburetter throttle in which a cylindrical throttle member 1, Fig. 1, has transverse notch 3 equal in width to the gas duct diameter, the rotational axis of the throttle member is displaced from the gas duct axis to provide a remaining solid portion which ensures closure of the gas duct when the throttle is in the closed position. The throttle is loaded by a spring 6 which engages in groove 7 and a groove 8 in member 9 engaged in recess 10 of housing cover 11. Member 9 is disengaged by a screwdriver to regulate the spring load. Throttle 1 is rotated by a cable which fits into groove 5.
