Abstract

1,071,820. Capacitors. INTERNATIONAL STANDARD ELECTRIC CORPORATION. March 30, 1966 [April 1, 1965], No. 14000/66. Heading HIM. Rolled capacitor element 2 is gripped in position within aluminium casing 1 by groove 6 which also divides the void space within the casing into two separate parts, and these parts are filled one at a time with hot liquid epoxy resin which is allowed to harden. The capacitor element 2 has a wax coating which insulates it from the groove 6 and protects it from the pressure thereof. As shown, the capacitor has leads 3 and 4 at opposite ends, but the casing may constitute one of the leads, being connected to the capacitor body via the groove 6.
