Abstract

Upon need of weft replenishing a cam (15) moves a spring loaded feeler (1) into the shuttle box and, if the feeler (1) strikes an incorrectly positioned shuttle, the feeler pivots and causes a member (22) to obstruct the passage of a roller (23) which disconnects the change hammer and stops the loom. The cam (15) is so shaped that the feeler (1) initially moves slowly and then rapidly into and out of the shuttle box to allow maximum time for picking and replenishing.
