Abstract
1,063,226. Film cartridges. AGFA A. G. March 10, 1964 [Oct.10, 1963; Dec.12, 1963], No. 10031/64. Heading G2A. As shown, a spring 6 is secured to the inside of the cartridge casing, so shaped as to guide a strip of film entering through the aperture 2 to form a coil round a core 7. This may be a hollow cylinder of a synthetic plastics material lying loosely within the curve of the spring. Projections 8 in the ends of the cartridge, or a complete spindle, may be provided to limit radial movement of the core. The core may have longitudinal indentations 7a so as to position the leading edge of the film, and it may have a convex or concave section so as to reduce the area of contact between core and film.
