Abstract

7 - (g - Diisobutylamino - b - hydroxy - propyl)-theophyllin is prepared by reaction of theophylline or a salt thereof with a N,N-diisobutyl - 3 - halo - 2 - hydroxy - propylamine, itself preparable by condensing diisobutylamine with an epihalogenohydrin.
