[Also in Division F2] A detent mechanism for a rotary switch comprises two angu larly fixed cam plates 1, 2 each having a plurality of angularly spaced, axially projecting cams 2a, 2b, the cams on one plate being angularly stag gered with respect tc those on the other, rollers 3b, 3c projecting from the switch spindle 4 to lie between the plates. The construction provides for the spindle twice as many arresting positions as there are cams on one plate.
