Abstract
1,059,693. Dispensing beverages. H. L. BUFFINGTON. April 27, 1965, No. 17707/65. Heading A4T. [Also in Division F4] Liquid cooling and dispensing apparatus comprises a refrigerated cabinet 12 having a door 20 for a front access opening, a horizontally sliding door 30 for a top access opening and a pivotally mounted dispensing tap 90 which when door 30 is open may be moved from its illustrated position within the cabinet to an operative position above the front edge of the cabinet (Fig. 6, not shown) to which it is clamped by resilient means (110, 112, 116). In its retracted position the tap is held in place by a resilient member 106. A beverage container is supported in the cabinet by a shelf 62 and is connected to a pressurizing carbon dioxide container 76 and to tap 90 by flexible conduits. The cabinet 12 is provided with wheels 22, adjustable shelves 54, a shelf 82 for supporting ice-making receptacles 84, a condensate drain 64 with an associated drip-tray 66, and a compartment 50 for the refrigeration machinery. In a modification (Figs. 10 to 14, not shown) the carbon dioxide container is mounted on the exterior of the cabinet.
