[Also in Division G3] An electric alarm clock is accommodated in a housing 8 with projecting plug pins 9 so as to constitute a plug for plugging directly into a mains socket. A small split-phase synchronous driving motor 10 taking substantially wattless current through capacitor 16, has a permanent magnet rotor (11). Fig. 3 (not shown), which may be from 4 to 6 mm. diameter and about 20 mm. long.
