Abstract

A candy sweetmeat is mounted on one end of a cylindrical injection-moulded rod which has a spiral groove along its peripheral surface, there being provided flattened surfaces on the periphery at each intersection of the parting lines with the groove, a collar rotatably mounted on the end of the rod opposite the candy, and a rotary member mounted on the rod and engaging the groove, such that when the member is moved linearly along the rod, the rod, and thus the candy, is caused to rotate. The member may be threaded or provided with a number of inwardly projecting portions so spaced that at least one of the projecting portions is always in engagement with the groove.
