Abstract

1,058,555. Cleaning hollow articles. F. DE LELLIS. March 13, 1964, No. 10704/64. Addition to 943,950. Heading B8T. An expansible brushing device of the kind described in the parent Specification is provided with a hollow open-ended drum 7 slidably received on the central brush support 1, its open end matching the openings in the ingot moulds a to be cleaned. In the inoperative position, the brushes and their supports are received within the drum, so that when the drum is supported over a mould opening the brushes may be lowered into the mould without manual adjustment. The central brush support may carry two L-shaped brushes only.
