The space beneath the line of trollies is divided by transverse partitions into three air entrance channels w and three air exit channels w<1>, which are connected to the delivery and suction sides of a fan, so that the air entering the apparatus through the channels w, passes through the yarn receptacles above them, along the upper part of the chamber, and downwards through the remaining yarn receptacles to the exit channels w<1>.
