Abstract
105,602. Watkin, H., and Ball, E. April 17, 1916. Casting hollow-ware.-In the manufacture of tea-pots, coffee-pots, &c. by placing a perforated clay grid f within a casting-mould c so as to form the article with an integral handle, spout, and straining-grid, the grid f is formed with projections g, g' adapted to engage recesses h, h<1> in the mould to prevent displacement, and a slight clearance is provided between the grid and mould to permit passage of the slip and secure better union. The perforations j in the grid are rounded at m to facilitate draining. According to the Provisional Specification, the projections on the grid may be otherwise disposed, or the mould may be provided with projections and the grid with recesses.
