Abstract

1,055,518. Digital integrators. INFOTRONICS CORPORATION. May 20, 1965, No. 21303/65. Heading G4H. The output of a chromatograph detector is applied to a voltage-to-frequency converter feeding a counter. A slope detector is also supplied with the input signal and controls the counter to integrate over each peak of the input signal. A further counter is supplied with clock pulses and is read out when the maximum value of a signal peak occurs, to provide a time indication. The binary-coded decimal outputs of both counters are registered in a thyratron store which is subsequently read out through stepping switches, serially by decimal digits to a punched or magnetic tape recorder. A relay decoder may be connected to the outputs of the stepping switches in order to control a printer. A record is thus made of the integral of each signal peak and the time at which the maximum value occurred. A summation of all the integrals may also be made.
